Our client, a Top 100 UK full-service law firm, is looking to grow its highly regarded Employment team in Birmingham. The Role:

You will join a busy and well-established Employment team, known for delivering first-rate advice on a wide range of employment matters. As part of this team, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse and complex cases, advising both employers and employees across various sectors.

Key Areas of Work:

  • Employment Litigation: Representing clients in tribunal claims and handling disputes related to discrimination, unfair dismissal, and other employment rights.
  • Employment Advisory: Providing high-quality legal advice on day-to-day HR issues, including disciplinary procedures, grievance handling, and workplace policies.
  • Transactional Employment Matters: Supporting on employment aspects of M&A transactions, restructurings, and business sales.
  • Strategic Advice: Advising on employment law compliance, employee relations, and more.

The successful candidate will be someone who is eager to build a broad and varied practice and has a genuine interest in both contentious and non-contentious employment law.

About You:

The team are looking for a positive, personable, and enthusiastic employment lawyer, most likely at the relatively early stages of your post-qualified career (1-4 PQE), with a passion for employment law. Ideally, you will have gained experience in a well-regarded employment team.

Key Requirements:

  • 1-4 years‘ post-qualified experience in employment law (NQs with pre-training contract experience will also be considered).
  • Strong technical ability with a keen interest in both contentious and advisory employment matters.

  • A positive, personable approach with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
