Litigation Attorney
Position Overview: Litigation Attorney with a minimum of 5 years of trial experience in personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience deposing corporate defendants and expert witnesses, and a passion for justice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent plaintiffs in complex litigation and personal injury matters (e.g., automobile accidents, medical malpractice, wrongful death).
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare discovery requests/responses.
- Take and defend depositions, prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial.
- Manage caseloads from inception through resolution.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, consultants, and expert witnesses.
- Maintain effective communication with clients.
- Stay updated with evolving laws and precedents.
- Handle complex legal issues and pursue informal resolution tactics.
- Attend client meetings and maintain relationships with clients and partners.
- Provide mentorship and collaborate with team members.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Admission to the California State Bar and in good standing.
- Minimum 4 years of litigation experience in California state and federal courts.
- Strong research, analytical, and drafting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High ethical standards and commitment to professional conduct.
- Arbitration and mediation experience required.
