Senior Associate – Construction/Renewables
The firm
Our client, an international law firm who would be considered a „mid-tier“ in the Australian market, is looking to add a senior construction lawyer to its construction/renewables practice.
We have met the partner and have already helped a junior move into the team and feedback has been excellent.
Their Senior Associate has been with them since a graduate and has decided to try an in-house role. As a result they are looking for a senior person to help manage the practice.
Team overview
You will work side by side with the practice head who is an award winning construction lawyer with more than 20 years of experience advising on contentious and non-contentious construction law matters.
Their experience includes working with the major contractors on contract drafting and negotiation as well as litigation and alternative dispute resolution in the project management, construction, engineering and infrastructure project sectors.
At the moment they are doing a significant amount of litigation work on renewables projects like wind solar and batteries.
Desired skills and experience
- Current experience as a Senior Associate (ideally 1-3 years)
- Construction experience from another law firm, ideally with some back-end experience, and people currently working in-house will be considered too.
- Ability to work with juniors and directly with clients.
Benefits
They strongly believe that providing employee benefits is a fundamental investment in the success and well-being of their workforce.
The benefits include:
- Outstanding work at the forefront of the renewables industry.
- An outstanding partner that values her team and that fosters a highly collegiate working environment.
- A clear pathway for progression as a senior.
- High exposure to clients and you will take a lead role in helping manage the practice.
- Excellent remuneration and benefits.
