Senior Commercial Counsel – 3 month FTC
Key details:
- 3 month FTC with posibilities of extensions

- 1-2 days a week in Islington/Highbury office (north London)
- Salary offered – not a day rate!
- Experience with consumer facing brands, media, retail, hospitality, creative industries would be well suited to this role
The main purpose of this role is to provide full legal support and assistance to the relevant stakeholders within the
business and draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and documents. Proactively manage
compliance issues and reduce the risk profile of the business.
Responsibilities:
● Review, negotiate and draft diverse commercial contracts and terms and conditions diligently and in a
timely manner in relation to a range of businesses and teams within the Group,
● Provide legal advice on issues affecting the Group as required and advise on advertising and marketing
standards and compliance (including prize promotions, competitions and social media campaigns)
● Manage the international trademark portfolio for the Group, including cease and desists and takedowns,
advising on infringements, trademark prosecutions and other registered IP applications, liaising with
external counsel where required and ensure cost effectiveness
● Provide ongoing support to the Campaigns and Social impact teams to facilitate the business‘ social
impact goals, including advising on campaigns/ awards processes and assisting with the expansion and
ongoing support of the Ministry of Food centres
● Review, negotiate and draft a variety of media contracts such as commissioning agreements, drafting and
negotiating a variety of media agreements such as release forms
● Produce clear briefing documents and contract summaries of key agreements for senior executives
● Proactively providing updates on your area of responsibility to the General Counsel and relevant
stakeholders
● Support the business by reviewing and negotiating event agreements and supplier agreements, as well as
SaaS and IT contracts
● Provide sound, commercial, solutions-focused advice whenever required
● Advise on and draft / update company policies as required
● Deal with ad hoc projects and queries as instructed by General Counsel.
