Our client, a prestigious and highly regarded Tier 1 International City law firm, is seeking a talented Competition Associate to join their esteemed team. Renowned for their excellence, the team consistently ranks highly in legal directories such as the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners.

The Competition team handles a comprehensive range of competition matters, including:

  • General competition (antitrust)
  • Cartels and other behavioural investigations
  • Merger control and foreign direct investment
  • Competition litigation
  • Regulatory matters
  • State aid
  • Public procurement
  • EU, WTO, and international trade

You will advise a diverse portfolio of clients across various sectors, including:

  • Energy and natural resources
  • Financial institutions
  • Consumer goods
  • Infrastructure
  • Transport
  • Manufacturing and industrials
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Retail
  • Telecoms, media, and technology

This role primarily involves non-contentious matters, with opportunities to engage in contentious work, particularly private enforcement and other competition disputes.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Ideally 1.5-4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in a reputable UK or European Competition Practice
  • Excellent academic credentials
