About the Role
Our client’s award-winning Employment, Pensions, and Immigration team provides comprehensive legal advice to employers across the UK, covering all aspects of employment law. They are currently seeking a Professional Support Lawyer to join their specialist HR and Employment team who provide outsourced advice and support to employer clients.
The team
This role sits with the specialist team that delivers our client’s flagship employment product, offering fixed-fee employment, HR, and advisory support to employers. Designed to deliver tailored solutions, it empowers clients across sectors like manufacturing, retail, utilities, professional services, hospitality, and education.
As a key member of this team, the successful candidate will play an essential role in maintaining its position at the forefront of employment law support services.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Legal Updates: Ensure clients have access to accurate, up-to-date employment law insights by updating the HR Rely website and associated resources.
- Document Management: Maintain and develop the employment document library with minimal supervision.
- Client Tools & Training: Create and deliver innovative tools and training programs that enhance the client experience.
- Industry Awareness: Monitor employment law trends and provide proactive, current awareness updates.
- Knowledge Resources: Develop best-practice guides and materials to support the team in delivering top-tier legal advice.
- Efficiency Innovations: Explore ways to improve internal processes, leverage new technologies, and enhance team efficiency.
- Practical Guidance: Draft and update precedents, guidance notes, and checklists while offering pragmatic advice to employment lawyers.
- Client Engagement: Attend client meetings and events, contributing to relationship-building and professional development.
- Project Support: Contribute to a range of projects and deliver targeted training or legal work to meet financial goals.
About You
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Proven expertise in Employment Law, requiring minimal supervision.
- Excellent drafting, research, and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- The ability to write about, present, and train others on legal developments and procedural changes.
- A pragmatic, commercial approach to problem-solving.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- An entrepreneurial mindset, seeking opportunities to offer additional services like training to employer clients.
- Strong time management, organisation, and IT skills.
- A passion for staying informed about legal developments.
- Prior PSL experience is not a pre-requisite.
