Finance Paralegal
Finance Paralegal – International Law Firm – London
Taylor Root have partnered with a leading international law firm in their search for an experienced Paralegal to join the firms Banking & Finance team. This position will be offered on a permanent basis and will be based in the firms London office.
The Firm
Our client is leading international law firm who are known for their expertise in litigation, mid tier corporate, banking and finance and shipping. They are consistently ranked in Tier 1,2 and 3 for all of their practice area and work on high value and exceptional work
The Team
The firms Banking & Finance practice is one if the larger teams in London and deals with a range of transactional financings, including lender & borrower side real estate finance, leveraged and acquisition finance, energy and renewable finance and some corporate lending and restructurings.
The Role
If successful, you will be working with the team providing support as needed across all areas. This will include:
- Conducting legal and factual research
- Performing company searches and other due diligence related to banking transactions
- Drafting corporate authorizations and conditions precedent documentation, as well as assisting in managing the conditions precedent process
- Preparing simple loan agreements and security documents for bilateral or standardized transactions
- Filing security interests with Companies House and HM Land Registry, including completing necessary forms and handling the filing process
- Tracking and organizing the receipt of original hardcopy documents and transaction bibles
- Compiling reports and drafting basic advice notes, such as property reports on title
- Managing transactions by coordinating with internal teams, clients, counterparties, and third parties to ensure the smooth progression of deals
The Ideal Candidate
Our client is seeking a Paralegal with at least one years prior experience working In a transactional area of law (ideally Finance). This experience will have been gained at another leading law firm in the city or a top regional/national practice. Strong academics are required, including a law degree (or GDL). SQE/LPC is desirable but not a requirement.
