THE ROLE

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join our clients highly regarded in-house legal team.

This team plays a pivotal role in supporting the business, providing strategic guidance, and enabling progress and growth across various areas.

The role will focus primarily on partnering with the Property and Retail teams, addressing Commercial Property legal matters, and contributing to the operational success of the legal department.

As a key member of the legal team, you will bring a practical and solution-focused approach, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders while supporting the development of this global brand during an exciting phase of transformation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will:

  • Report to a Senior Legal Counsel within the Commercial Legal team, offering support across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Focus on Commercial Property legal matters, drafting and managing leases, licenses, deeds of variation, termination agreements, and responding to ad hoc queries.
  • Act as a key contact for external advisors and internal stakeholders.
  • Support regulatory compliance management.
  • Contribute to the operational efficiency of the legal team, including implementing legal tech solutions such as the new “Legal Hub.”
  • Occasionally support the management of franchise relationships.
  • Attend and contribute to internal and external team and progress update meetings.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including internal and external training programs.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • A background in law, ideally with a law degree and/or experience in a property-focused legal role (in-house or private practice).
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to draft and navigate standardised legal documents.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of influencing key stakeholders.
  • Proven organisational skills, with experience managing contracts and legal processes.
  • Commercial awareness, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A client-focused approach, demonstrating innovative problem-solving and lateral thinking.
  • A resourceful and driven mindset, eager to grow within a supportive and dynamic environment.
  • A tech-savvy outlook, embracing innovative tools and processes.
