Taylor Root, a leading global legal recruitment firm, is seeking an Experienced Legal Recruitment Consultant to join our team and focus on placing qualified solicitors into in-house legal teams across the Midlands and North of England.

The Role:
As an Experienced Legal Recruitment Consultant, you will focus on helping to expand our In-house offering in the regions whilst placing qualified solicitors into in-house legal teams across various industries within the Midlands and North of England. You will be responsible for building relationships with both clients and candidates, offering tailored recruitment solutions, and playing a key role in the growth of the in-house legal recruitment division.
You will:
- Manage a diverse client base across the Midlands and North, ranging from multinational corporations to SMEs.
- Work closely with legal professionals to understand their career aspirations and match them with the right in-house roles.
- Develop new business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring a seamless experience for both clients and candidates.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven Experience in Legal Recruitment or Qualified Solicitor with 2+PQE: You’ll have experience working in a recruitment consultant role, ideally specialising in the legal sector or an associate/senior associate looking for a different career path whilst remaining in the legal sector.
- In-depth Knowledge of the Legal Market: Familiarity with the in-house legal recruitment landscape, particularly across the Midlands and North of England, is highly desirable.
- Strong Relationship-Building Skills: A natural ability to engage with clients and candidates, building long-lasting professional relationships.
- Target-Driven: Demonstrated success in a results-driven environment.
- Team Player: You’ll work closely with colleagues across the business and contribute to the wider success of the team.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Both written and verbal, with the ability to negotiate, influence, and present with confidence.
