About our client:

Our client is a technology company specializing in innovative mobility solutions. Their focus is on making urban transportation more efficient through a user-friendly platform. They are seeking an experienced European employment lawyer to join their global legal team.

About the role:

  • Legal Advisory: Provide strategic guidance on European employment law, covering employee relations, performance issues, terminations, and legal compliance.
  • Policy & Compliance: Create, update, and review policies that reflect the company’s values while meeting European legal requirements.
  • Works Councils & Unions: Advice on works council and union matters, particularly in France, the Netherlands, and other regions.
  • M&A Employment Support: Advice on employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions, focusing on EU labour rights and integration strategies.
  • Employment Agreements: Ensure compliance of employment contracts and executive agreements with European laws.
  • Dispute Resolution: Manage employment disputes across Europe, including claims related to termination, discrimination, and other legal issues.
  • Training Programs: Facilitate training sessions on legal compliance and best practices for managers and staff.
  • Managing External Counsel: Oversee external legal counsel and manage legal costs for specialized matters.

About you:

  • European-qualified employment lawyer with relevant certifications.
  • Extensive experience managing European employment and works council issues, either in-house or at a top law firm.
  • Experience in the UK and/or France would be considered an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal matters.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and its implications for employment law.
  • Collaborative mindset, committed to fostering an inclusive and positive workplace culture.
