Investment Management Paralegal – Elite US Firm – London
Taylor Root are currently working with a leading US law firm in their search for an experienced Paralegal to join the Investment Management practice. This role is being offered on a permanent basis and will be based in the firms London office.
The Firm
The firm was one of the first US law firms to open their doors in London and have maintained for high prowess work in corporate, litigation and funds practice. In London, the firm enjoys a variety of practices spanning competition, IP, Corporate and Investment Management.
The Team
In Typical US fashion, the investment management team is lean, meaning you will work directly with partners with a genuine role to play in getting deals across the line. The work will include supporting the team on advising global private investment managers investing funds across multiple strategies including venture and growth, private equity, private debt, funds of funds and impact.
The Role
As a Paralegal in the Investment Management practice your role will be very much supporting on funds, specifically on fund formation and transaction. A list of responsibilities are below, but please be aware that is not a complete list:
- Assists with entity formations (both UK and liaising with US and other local counsel re other countries) and other UK filings
- Assists with fund closings with investors, including review of subscription documents and questionnaires, organization of documentation and closing certificates, coordinating with client and MLB team in London and US
- Assists with preparation of closing documentation (board minutes, board packs and other ancillary documents) as required
- Preparing signature packs and collating executed documents
- Prepares closing distributions and closing mailings to investors
- Liaising with local counsel for standard opinions ahead of each closing
The Ideal Candidate
Our client is seeking a Paralegal who has previous experience working within a Funds practice or another area of Corporate. Candidates will have gained this experience in a leading city firm in a busy team.
