The Role:
As Senior Legal Counsel, you will be an integral part of the legal team, providing expert legal guidance to support a diverse range of business activities. You will work on complex commercial contracts, corporate law matters, and data protection law, ensuring legal compliance while enabling business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on a wide range of commercial contracts, corporate matters, and data protection issues.
- Lead negotiations and draft key legal agreements, ensuring the best commercial outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with senior leadership and stakeholders across various business functions.
- Present complex legal concepts and solutions to Board-level colleagues in a clear, actionable manner.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to identify and mitigate legal risks in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Solicitor with between 4-8 years of post-qualification experience (all qualified candidates will be considered).
- Proven experience in commercial contracts, corporate law, and/or data protection law. Commercial real estate experience would be a distinct advantage.
- Strong ability to build relationships at all levels, including Board-level.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a business-friendly way.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach to legal challenges, with a strong understanding of the live events industry and its unique legal requirements.
